Huawei has released its 2018 flagship the Mate 20 Pro. Along with the regular flagship model, there is also a premium variant which marked its own grand entrance. It’s the Huawei mate 20 RS Porsche Design. Now, both the devices are the same in terms of looks and presence. However, the build quality differs by heaven and hell.

While the regular Mate 20 Pro sports an all-glass body, Huawei mate 20 RS Porsche Design flaunts a leatherback body. Though there is a twist. The middle section of the rear panel has a glass strip. You can see from the image the mid-section is where the Huawei branding and the triple camera set-up reside.

Again another difference is of the storage capacity. Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design being the premium toy, comes with a base storage of 256 GB. If you want more storage you also have an option for the 512GB. It packs a memory of 8GB RAM for both the storage variants. It has the popular HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset of the 7nm build.

Like its regular cousin, Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design supports 3D face unlock and the in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has a 2K+ OLED display of pixel resolution of 3120 x 1440. Out of the box, this premium device runs Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0.

The major attraction is the camera set-up with a LEICA powered a triple camera. The configuration is 40 MP (Wide Angle Lens, f/1.8 aperture) + 20 MP (Ultra Wide Angle Lens, f/2.2 aperture) + 8 MP (Telephoto, f/2.4 aperture). There is support for autofocus, laser focus, phase focus, and contrast focus. Also, it supports AIS (Huawei AI Image Stabilization).  It has a heavy battery of 4200mAh with support for wireless charging.

Now, let’s take a look at the price. Its pricing can burn a huge hole in the pocket. The base variant costs a €1,695/ $1960/Rs 1,43,677. If you want to have an ultra-premium feel you can grab the 512 GB variant at €2,095/$2425/Rs 1,77,764.

This phone will give a tough time to the 2018 iPhones as well as mark a unique presence in the entire flagship smartphone market. So, what’re your views on the Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design..? Do share with us.
