Huawei unveiled the several products on its launch event in China such as Nova 3, Nova 3i, Talkband 5 and Kirin 710. Both the Nova 3 and Nova 3i smartphones phones come with some interesting features. Last year, the company launched the Huawei Nova 2 as a mid-range smartphone while this year, the latest Nova 3 is a flagship smartphone with AI and Kirin 970 SoC under the hood. The Nova 3 also comes with recently launched GPU Turbo Technology. On the other hand, the Nova 3i recently launched Kirin 710 Processor on board.

It looks like the company decided to follow the glass design on the new phone. The Huawei Nova 3 comes with 3D double curved glass design on the back side as well as on the front side. On the back side, the Nova 3 comes with the high refractive index similar to the recently launched Huawei P20 Pro. On the front side, there is a notch design that carries ambient light, IR light sensor for 3D face recognition, dual selfie cameras, proximity, and earpiece. The notch on the top of the display is bigger if compare to the OnePlus 6. The body dimensions of the phone are 157 x 73.7 x 7.3 mm and weighs 166 grams. The phone is available in Black, light blue, primrose gold, and blue-violet.

Huawei Nova 3 comes with bigger 6.3-inch IPS display that supports 1080 x 2340 pixels of resolution and offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone also supports around 84.2% screen-to-body ratio and around 409 PPI density. It powered by dual Quad-core CPU under the hood along with Kirin 970 AI chipset. The first four Cortex-A73 core clocks at 2.4 GHz and other four Cortex-A53 core clocks at 1.8 GHz. There is a 6 GB of RAM available on board and 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage option. The phone also has a micro SD card slot on board that supports up to 256 GB external storage.

The company focused on-camera experience in Huawei Nova series smartphones. Last year in December, The company launched Huawei Nova 2S smartphone with a total four cameras, two on the back side and two on the front side. The new Nova 3 also comes with a total of four cameras, two on the front side and two on the back side. There is a 16-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 24-megapixel secondary camera with f/1.8 aperture and B/W sensors. The rear cameras also support contrast AF, short video effects via AI, PDAF, AI scene recognition (22 categories and 500 different scenes), LED flash and HDR Pro.

On the front side, there is a 24-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture and 2-megapixel secondary camera for selfies and video calls. The dual cameras on the front side ensure that the user will get the good selfies with bokeh effect. The front cameras also come with AI and beauty mode. The Nova 3 comes with IR face unlock and 3D face recognition feature. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back side of the phone.

The Nova 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box along with EMUI 8.2 UI running on top. It packed with Non-removable Li-Po 3750 mAh battery inside the body. There is a GPU Turbo on board for better and smooth experience when playing games and watching video on its bigger display. The phone also has a 3.5mm Audio jack port, dual SIM, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and more connectivity options. The phone comes with 3D Emoji AR support.

The Huawei Nova 3i comes with the same design as the Huawei Nova 3. It has glass panels on the front as well as on the rear side. There is a notch design on top of the display that carries dual selfie cameras and sensors. The body dimensions of the phone are 157.6 x 75.2 x 7.6 mm and weighs 169 grams. It is available in Bright Black, Pearl White, and Blue-Purple.

The phone powered by Octa-COre Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor under the hood. It comes with 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB internal storage and 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB internal storage option. There are reports that claim the 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage model will also available. All the variants come with micro SD card slot on board that supports external storage up to 256 GB.

It featured with a total of four cameras the same as the Nova 3. There are dual camera sensors on the back side as well as on the front side too. On the back side, there is a 16-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF and 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor camera. The rear camera able to shoot slow-motion video at 480fps. It also comes with 22 different scenes and several modes. On the front side, there is a 24-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel secondary camera for selfies and video calls.

The company launched the Huawei Nova 3i 4 GB RAM model at ¥1999 (~$297) price tag and the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage model available at ¥2199 (~$327) price tag. As of now, there is no word for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model price availability.
