Apple has released new versions of its GarageBand, iMovie, Pages, Keynote, and Numbers apps for both iOS and Mac (GarageBand update is iOS-only). Some of the new Apple apps offer features made for the new iPad Pro that’s also out today.

- Connect an external display to your iPad or iPhone and choose to mirror the iPad display or preview your video fullscreen while you edit* — with support for uncompressed 4K video output on iPad Pro 11-inch or iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation)
- Resolves issues which could cause video distortion when editing a vertical video clip with the iMovie edit extension in the Photos app
- Addresses an issue which could prevent sharing videos through a cellular connection on iPhone or iPad
- Improves stability including an issue which could occur after adding speed change effects to clips in your movie
- Fullscreen video preview while editing requires iPhone 7 or later, iPad (6th generation) or iPad Pro (2017) or later

- Supports keyboard commands when using a Smart Keyboard or Bluetooth keyboard
- Adds the Wah stompbox pedal and Face Control to Smart Guitar
- Provides stability improvements and bug fixes
Keynote and Numbers for iOS |
- Publish your books directly to Apple Books for download or purchase.
- Performance and stability improvements
iMovie for macOS |
- This update contains stability and performance improvements.
Pages for macOS |
- Removes the option to share video files directly to Facebook
- Adds a new Prepare for Facebook option which exports a Facebook-compatible video file to your system that you can manually upload to the Facebook website
- Improves overall stability
Keynote and Numbers for macOS |
Today’s updates for GarageBand, iMovie, and iWork apps are matched with the release of the new iPad Pros, MacBook Air, and Mac mini in stores. Apple also updated its creative app Clips for iOS earlier today.
